As per the Ministry of Education requirements, all enrolled students at MEF International School hold a foreign passport other than Turkish. MEFIS is structured to provide quality education to students aged 3 to 18 from its Early Childhood Centre (ECC) and is authorized from Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the Primary School, to its International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the Secondary School. MEFIS is a fully authorized Cambridge International Center (CIE) offering Checkpoint and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in the Secondary School. MEFIS is fully accredited by CIS (Council of International Schools) and NEASC (New England Association of Schools Colleges). The school provides a first class English-medium international education, complemented by French, Spanish and Turkish Host Country Studies. The Learning Support Team provides support to students in an engaging and exciting learning environment. The programmes cater for students’ needs through English as an Additional Language (EAL), Special Educational Needs and Guidance Counseling. The focus in the curriculum is helping children to become inquirers who are enthusiastic about finding out how the world works. The mandate of the school is to promote in each individual a love of learning, an appreciation of other languages and peoples and a global understanding to create life-long learners and global citizens. |
