EEI comprises five kindergartens, three Elementary sections, a Secondary, and a Science Secondary section, and offers a bilingual education to students aged 3-18. School policy is based on academic excellence, internationalism and inter-culturalism, and social awareness. School policy is determined by a board of executive administrators. EEI is authorized to offer IBDP, IBMYP and IBPYP in grades K -12. The school is also an authorized internet-based TOEFL Center. There is a strong ESL program in all sections, leading students to UCLES and TOEFL English proficiency examinations, in addition to IB qualifications. Starting from Grade 5, German, French and Spanish are taught as a second foreign language. Elective subjects offer more intensive and specialized study in the fields of social sciences, sciences, arts, music, computer and astronomy. Individualized instruction is part of the curriculum. Academic courses are supplemented by a wide variety of extra-curricular activities in art, music, humanities and drama. Besides traditional sports activities, archery, horse riding, fencing, swimming, bocce, folk dancing, and modern dancing are also offered. Faculty members are all qualified university graduates; 32% of the subject teachers hold postgraduate degrees. Teachers have an average of ten years of teaching experience. The average tenure at the school is seven years. The main campus, an area of 33, 000 m2, is situated on the Asian side of Istanbul. Facilities on the campus include an Arts and Sports Complex with a swimming pool, various art studios and sports areas for handball, volleyball, athletics, basketball, archery, ballet and folk-dancing, a theatre hall seating 480, a small theatre seating 100, a full-sized gymnasium, four smaller multi-purpose PE halls, activity room, four art and ceramics studios, two libraries with 56, 000 volumes, tennis, basketball and handball courts, a bocce field, and a playing field. There are eleven science laboratories. The two observatories, equipped with powerful telescopes, enable the school and wider community to make astronomical observations. Admission to Eyüboglu is offered on the basis of a school-administered examination for the Elementary section and according to Turkish Ministry of Education regulations for the Secondary sections. Limited financial aid is available through the school's scholarship fund. All Eyuboglu Schools ( 10 schools) have been accredited by CIS.
