Initially educating children from the ages of 3-12, CISD has extended its provision to provide secondary classes to Year 11 and further year groups will be added subsequently. The school is owned and operated by the WCL Group (World Class Learning), a company with a worldwide reputation for high quality education. The school is split across 3 campuses - Gharaffa (ages 3 - 11), Madinat Khalifa (ages 5 - 15) and Rayyan (ages 3 - 11). Learning is at the heart of everything for CISD and the International Primary Curriculum is used to ensure that learning is brain friendly and fun for children. International mindedness is central to the school’s philosophy. The school is the most inclusive in Qatar with an open admissions policy and year-round enrolment (subject to places being available). Reports from previous schools are requested. There is an English as an Additional Language programme for non-native speakers of English. CISD runs a First Language Dutch programme for Dutch speaking children. The school offers some individual special needs provision. There is a wide range of extra curricular activities including art, drama, ballet, modern dance, karate, soccer, science, baking and basketball. |
