Rich Curriculum At Mercy Catholic College up to 12 subjects are undertaken in Years 7 to 8. As well as core subjects students study History geography visual Arts languages (French / Italian) music and Technology (Food Tech textiles iT woodwork). In Year 9 & 10 electives are offered in such subjects as Visual Arts design and Technology music food Technology commerce drama and Languages. Creative Arts Mercy Catholic College prides itself on achievements in Drama music dance and the Visual Arts. Music and Art are offered from Year 7 to Year 12 and Drama from Years 9 to12. The College provides private tuition in Speech and Drama and Year 7 / 8 Drama and Dance clubs are conducted by a private tutor. There is also private tuition in piano woodwind strings voice brass drums percussion flute and guitar. Students may join the Mercy Catholic College Choir acapella Ensemble concert Band or String Group. Mercy Student Leadership The school ensures as many students as possible have the opportunity at some point in their time at Mercy to be leaders. Each year there are over 40 positions available in the portfolios of Student Representative Council liturgy mercy Action creative Arts sport media environment and Peer Support.
