Profile

Inaburra is a Christ-centred learning community pursuing excellence in education with every individual known and loved. Inaburra has a tradition of equipping students for further learning and education with the vast majority of students completing their HSC and continuing to university or other tertiary study. The motto of Inaburra is “Faith Knowledge love”. Biblical Studies is part of the curriculum for Kindergarten to Year 12 and the Christian worldview is taught across the curriculum. Inaburra has a modern and well equipped campus in a suburban area featuring modern classrooms aPerforming Arts Centre with a 650 seat auditorium; a digital television studio and editing facility; a drama studio alibrary/learning centre agymnasium and a careers reference centre. The school has a specialist media program that has earned nationally acclaimed awards (television and video production). The music program of the school is wide and diverse including talent quests stage band orchestra string ensemble vocal ensembles choirs and peripatetic lessons.

Kindy - Year 6

Inaburra offers an innovative and exciting academic program in the Junior School (K-6) facilitated by experienced classroom practitioners. Year 6 students are taught by specialist secondary teachers in Science visual Arts media and Mandarin.

Years 7 - 12

Years 7–10: In addition to the core subjects students may choose electives in the following areas: Commerce History visual Arts food Technology timber Technology automotive Technology graphics textiles mandarin music drama dance media computing Studies. Sports & Extra Curricular Activities

80 per cent of Years 7 to10 students are involved in weekly inter-school competitions against local Catholic Schools in sports that include: soccer cricket tennis basketball Hockey oztag netball softball volleyball and water polo. Students compete in regional state and national level competitions through the CSSA and CIS networks. Co-curricular activities: The school has a dynamic band and choir program debating mock Trial chess club/competition maths challenge talent quest drama bible study groups outdoor education public speaking sRC — extra costs for some activities.

Computer Facilities

The school runs a Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) program for students in Years 5-12. The vast majority of students bring devices of their own choice primarily tablets or laptops for use as a tool in facilitating their learning. Students in Years K-4 have access to iPads and laptops. Nearly all classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and there is a secure filtered wireless network across the school site.
