Donvale Christian College

Donvale Christian College is a non-denominational co-educational Prep to Year 12 School which operates in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne and has approximately 1000 students made up of 400 Primary and 600 Secondary students. Donvale Christian College is a Parent controlled school which serves the Christian families by providing biblically directed or Christ-centred education. Through high quality teaching and learning in a nurturing stimulating and Biblically directed environment students grow in their understanding of God’s world and in their commitment to serving Christ in all areas of life.

Modern Facilities

Our impressive up to date facilities include: • Wireless networks for secondary students to use their individual notebook computers plus an ICT support centre• Excellent computer facilities for primary (including Interactive Whiteboards)• Six Science laboratories including a Primary Science Laboratory• Specialist rooms for Music (Primary and Secondary) drama art (Primary and Secondary) visual Communication manual Arts and Food Technology. • Purpose built Year 9 Centre that undergirds an innovative Year 9 Curriculum• Student Support Services which facilitates support / enrichment programs for students with either high or low abilities. Extensive Co- Curricular Program

Students from Year 5 to Year 12 are involved in weekly sporting competitions. The Primary School students compete in the local Primary School’s cluster where as Secondary School students compete in the Eastern Independent School (E. I. S. M. ) cluster. There is a comprehensive camping program for all students from Years 3 to 12. In addition to this senior Secondary Students are able to select Outdoor Education as one of their learning options. The College offers all students the opportunity to participate in school musicals and / or productions as well as learn an instrument in the extensive Private Music Program.

Before and After School Care

This before and after-school care facility operates from 7: 15 am to 8: 30 am every morning and between 3: 15pm and 6: 00pm every evening. A Holiday Care Program runs during each term break from 8: 30 a. m. until 6: 00 p. m.

Christian-centred Education

Christian values and teachings are at the foundation of the school and as the school is parent directed at least one of the parents of children enrolling should be a practising Christian.

Low Fee Structure

The College does not offer scholarships but instead has comparatively low fees and also offers heavily discounted tuition fees for families of two or more children attending the school.
